Sun shining, Slash feeling ropey and the Chairman Rory pulling out a bottle of the strong stuff could only mean one thing… the mighty 2s were in action.
Skipper Bailey had a full Army of players at his disposal with 7 impact players on the bench. The match was a close affair from minute 1 to 80, with 1st team Skipper Rajan stepping into the coaching role, masterfully moving the pieces around.
Thamesians started strong with the first blood going to them. Teddington responded with a brilliant individual try from their 15, with half-time fast approaching Jack Hopkins who’s had a year off due to injury skips past what seemed like the whole team (2 players at most) to score a brilliant try under the posts taking T’s up at half time.
The second half was another even affair ending 2 try’s a piece but ultimately ending 19-17 to Thamesians!
Congratulations to the boys who wore the T’s jersey for the first time, hoping for many more to come.
