THAMESIANS WOMEN kicked-off the New Year with another impressive bonus point win to maintain their lead at the top of the table in NC1.
On a freezing afternoon at Chobham, the Thamesians forwards soon took control, dominating the scrum and breakdown to lay the platform for a 10-try demolition job.
No 8 Sydney Hayden-Fry topped the running yards, while second row Phoebe Sloley, hooker Emily Ward and openside Laiba Rahman all crossed for tries.
But it was the constant stream of possession provided by the Ts pack that created another seven tries for the backs.
Emily Powell, excelling at fly-half, claimed a deserved hat-trick, with her half-back partner Hannah Kent crossing for a brace.
Alix Reeves, playing wing, and Captain, Emelia Arbouine, completed the rout, with Jemma Smith adding three conversions.
The Team would like to thank everyone who braved the cold to lend their much appreciated touchline support.
Next up is a home match against East London Vixens at St Mary’s this Sunday, January 14. Kick-off 2pm.
