Thamesians Women go into the Christmas break three points clear at the top of NC1 after beating London Welsh on the historic club’s first team pitch at Kew.
A huge Welsh pack was no obstacle to T’s forwards, who dominated the scrum, lineout, breakdown and defence.
The backs also showed their superiority, with Hannah Kent, 2, Emily Powell, 2, Emelia Arbouine, 2 and Tabby Young running in the tries – four of them converted by in form Jemma Smith.
The away victory came off the back of the team’s best performance of the season, when they beat a strong Eton Manor side 31-12 at home. Hannah Kent scored another brace, with Emily Powell, Sarah Brindley and Emelia Arbouine ensuring another bonus point win. Jemma Smith added three conversions.
With tough away fixtures at Wasps, Sudbury, Welwyn and Eton Manor in 2024, the girls would like to thank all the club and family members for their much appreciated support so far this season.
